How to Deactivate HDFC Credit Card Online - If you are an HDFC Credit card user and would like to cancel your account or block it. You can do that directly by visiting the HDFC office or through online by going to the official HDFC website.

HDFC has provided Hotlisting / Credit Card blocking facility through Netbanking. If you are registered for the Netbanking facility, you can now hotlist / block your Credit Card online.

Well, here I will explain steps to disable HDFC Credit Card Account.

How do I close an HDFC bank account?

Reduce your account balance to zero.
Take a photocopy/scan of your debit card (for backup and safety).
Take a photocopy/scan of the first and last unused check leaves in your checkbook (for backup and safety).
Go to your base branch (where you opened your account).
Fill out an account closure form.
You’ll be intimated of your account closure by post. If you don’t receive any intimation within a week or two, call customer care and confirm account closure (keep your Customer ID and Phone Banking PIN handy).
Tear-up your unused check leaves, debit card, and any other leftovers.

The balance of remaining balance in your account after closing your HDFC account will be returned via. Demand draft the amount of interest that is not accumulated, if any, will be accounted for in this substitution.

NOTE : You can close your account in Any branch of HDFC.

How to close HDFC Bank Account Online

Visit Nearest Branch ( Any Branch )

You have to reach your nearest HDFC Bank Account or any HDFC brach in your city to close HDFC Bank Account.

Fill Account Closure Form

After that ask them to give Account closure form.
You have to fill the necessary details like Name, Address and Account Number.
You also need to mention the mode by which you want your money (Cash or Demand Draft).

Submit Required Documents

Then you have to submit your documents like scan/photocopy of you debit card and first and last used check leaves in your checkbook (in case if they ask for any). Some branches might not ask for these documents like in my case they didn’t ask for it.
Bank will give you your remaining balance in the form of Cash or Demand Draft.
