Ultamate Credit Card Review - You Need To Know About It

Ulta recently launched two credit cards. The first is called the Ultamate Rewards Credit Card, and the second is called the Ultamate Rewards MasterCard. These cards are designed for frequent shoppers of Ulta makeup and beauty supplies, offering points every time you buy. If you get one of these cards you’ll also end up with an Ultamate Rewards Membership.

The Ultamate Rewards membership comes with 1 point per $1 at Ulta Beauty, and these cards provide an extra point. So you’ll be getting 2 points per $1 at Ulta Beauty and ulta.com.

There are no annual fees on these cards, but you have a chance of getting a much lower interest rate with the MasterCard than the regular Credit Card.

Ulta recently partnered with Comenity Bank to introduce two new cards: Ultamate rewards credit card & Ultamate Rewards Mastercard. The credit card can only be used in store at Ulta (really should be called a store card) and the Mastercard can be used anywhere Mastercard is accepted.

Here are the perks for the Ultamate Rewards Credit Card :

  • 20% off your first purchase at Ulta Beauty
  • No Annual Fee
  • 1 point for every $1 spent at Ulta Beauty

Here are the perks for the Ultamate Rewards MasterCard :

  • 20% off your first purchase at Ulta Beauty
  • No Annual Fee
  • 1 point for every $1 spent at Ulta Beauty
  • 1 point for every $3 spent outside of Ulta Beauty
  • Enjoy 500 Welcome Bonus Points when you spend $500 in the first 90 days outside of Ulta Beauty

The "1 point for every $1 spent at Ulta Beauty" is ON TOP OF the 1 point you earn for every dollar spent for just being an Ultamate Rewards member.

If you get the Ultamate Rewards MasterCard, you'll also earn 1 point for every $3 spent OUTSIDE of Ulta when you use your Ultamate Rewards MasterCard. Call Ulta and ask questions.

how easy is it to get approved for ulta credit card

I was too impatient to wait for responses and app'd! The SCT never worked for me for this store, but after biting the bullet and app-ing I was approved for a $1,000 Mastercard. I wish it was a little higher but Comenity has never been as kind to me as Synchrony. I'll still take it! ( Member Fico Forum = SquidXX )

I was pre-approved for the card in the local ULTA store tonight.  The lady at the counter said I was pre-approved for the mastercard - but the little receipt she gave me says I got the Ultimate Rewards Credit Card - no mention of Mastercard.  $400 limit.  My current FICO's are EQ 622 TU 648 and EX 633.

Paid a ton of stuff off in the last month - still waiting for everything to settle out in FICO-land.  Probably should have waited to accept until it all had - but when she said I was pre-approved for the "MasterCard" I went through with it.  Either way is fine I guess... but I really would have liked the MC instead of the store card. How do Ulta rewards work?

Points are redeemable for purchases, and they expire a year from when you earn. If you spend $400 in a calendar year, you qualify for Ulta Platinum. With Platinum status, you earn 1.25 points per dollar, and points do not expire. When 2x point promotions are happening you would earn 3x points.

Can I use my Ulta credit card without the card?

Once you are approved, you earn two points for every dollar spent at Ulta Beauty-in-store or at ulta.com and one point for every $3 spent anywhere Mastercard is accepted. The Ultamate Rewards Credit Card is a credit card that can only be used at Ulta Beauty stores, and on ulta.com.

Can you take stuff back to Ulta without a receipt?

Store credit will be issued for returns without a receipt, or for returns that are not made within 60 days of purchase or shipment to the customer. ... Ulta.com orders placed using a gift card and returned to the Ulta Beauty returns center will receive a new e-gift card for the return value.
