The services listed below give you free credit scores that are updated year-round, daily, weekly or monthly. Most offer additional data taken directly from your credit report, while some even offer free daily credit monitoring or free identity protection services.

 As of September 2018, the three major credit bureaus are included: TransUnion, Equifax, and Experian. You don't need to have a special credit card. Because advertising is supported, they can do it without the need to disrupt the trial membership offer, need a credit card number, or have to remember to cancel anything.

CreditSesame.com offers a free credit score every month, based on your TransUnion (VantageScore) credit report. They used Experian data in the past, but it seems that most members have migrated to Transunion. The score range is 300-850. They only need the last 4 digits of your Social Security Number. No need for a trial card or credit card.

Free daily credit monitoring. Credit Sesame also offers free daily credit monitoring from your TransUnion data, with warnings coming through e-mail, text, or smartphone applications. This service tracks more than 40 different credit activities such as changes in balance, change of address, or when a new account is opened.

Identity protection and free recovery services. Credit Sesame also includes $ 50,000 in identity theft insurance and access to identity recovery support at their free membership level.

Credit Karma

CreditKarma.com offers two free credit scores, based on your Equifax and TransUnion credit reports and is updated weekly (VantageScore). The score range is 300-850. They only need the last 4 digits of your Social Security Number. No need for a trial card or credit card. Good two-in-one feature.

Free credit monitoring. Karma Credit also offers free e-mail credit monitoring alerts from your TransUnion data.

FreeCreditScore.com

FreeCreditScore.com offers free credit scores every month, based on your Experian credit report (FICO 08). The score range is 300-850. They need your complete Social Security Number. No need for a trial card or credit card.

WalletHub

WalletHub.com offers free credit scores based on your TransUnion (VantageScore) credit report, updated daily. They also provide access to your TransUnion credit report every day (although it may not be updated frequently). The score range is 300-850.
